Chessup 2 can't find pairings

I’m having problems finding 5+5 games on chess. com. Sometimes 15+10 games are impossible to find. It wasn’t too bad when I first got the board, but now sometimes I don’t even bother. Eventually I tried on lichess and that worked.

I tried about 15 minutes ago. When I use the chess. com on the iPad, I can get a pairing straight away. It happens with my other chess. com account for 15+10 games snailsfightletsgo as well.

I’ve tried logging in and out and getting a new token for the board.

Are you by chance high rating (~2000 or above?)

Also - if you are premium chess.com, double check that the “allow multiple games at once” setting is off. It is under Settings→Gameplay

For happyshark67, it is only 1200 Blitz. This account is just to mess around with new ideas at 5+5.

snailsfightletsgo, around 1900 Rapid.
Only really play rapid 15+10 and 30+0 on it.

If I use chessconnect to connect to the board it will find games almost instantly at all time controls. I got rid of my Chessnut Air so that I wouldn’t need to pair a phone with the board, so I don’t really want to have to do that. The pairings exist, it’s just not finding them when I try to search for the game on the Chessup 2.

That ‘multiple game’ setting was off.

For snailsfightletsgo I do have restrictions on the rating. I have it -25 to Infinity.

I’m unable to get timely pairings on both accounts. But with chessconnect or directly with the chess.com app on the iPad it is fine.

Surprisingly two 5+5 games matched within 10 seconds on the happyshark67 account just then (about UTC 10:35pm and 10:50pm). So thank you if you fixed something.

We checked the complete logs and it actually was just random chance.

We show 4 games on Feb 21st that the seek was cancelled while still open and 2 more on Feb 27th where the seek was cancelled. These are the chess.com logs and not our own.

5+5 is a smaller player pool and involves some wait sometimes (sometimes over 1 minute)

However, I want to know - how long did you wait before cancelling the seeks? I want to make sure it is not a large delay before we initiate the seek on Chess.com with your account.
