Optional delay for built in bots

Wondering if others feel the same, but I think it would be nice to have a feature where you can select an optional flag to add a delay before the built in ChessUp 2 bots make a move. It is pretty jarring how fast they move. Chess.com bots are delayed a few seconds which feels better to me. To give them a more human feel, it could be a random delay before each move, maybe in-between 2 and 10 seconds.

On a side note, they seem to be pretty tough. I can beat up to 1500 on chess.com bots, but am struggling with only level 3 of ChessUp bots.

Thanks for a great product so far. Am really enjoying it and love to see all the updates coming in!

Funny I had the same thought recently. I think it makes a lot of sense to add a delay before the bots make their move. The are supposed to be designed so you feel like you’re playing a human right? That should be part of the design. Also there should be a bit of randomness built in, just as it is the accuracy of each bot move.

In April they will release interactive bots. Version 5.0.0. You can see that here.

@Jeff I don’t know if there will be a delay in moves on the bots side but the suggestion is a good way to make them feel human.

Yes - good question - we will be making these to behave in a natural way and will have time between moves.
