This has happened to me three times so far. I start a game when board is charging and random lights come on an off , then board stops accepting input. I have to log on to chess.com to finish game. I use an apple 15 watt charging block with the original cord that comes with chessup 2. I have learned to charge board after sessions so the need to charge while playing is limited, but every time I have to charge while playing this occurs.
The cause is an electrically noisy charging block or outlet.
We recommend testing other blocks and outlets that you have, and if necessary we can recommend a different charging block.
please do, I thought an apple charging block was top of the line. If there is one that is proven not to have this issue I would purchase,
Thanks

Which country are you in?
United States
Generally the apple blocks are good.
When you try a different outlet does it still have the excessive noise/lights?
One solution is a power bank that you can charge while using. Something like this that has the USB C in and out (there are different models on this listing):
Or this
But I am not sure how well that product will hold up over time.
Why it works is that it is charging its battery with the noisy power, and then providing clean battery power out. It should filter any excessive electrical noise on the home power.

I would only suggest the power banks if there is not another brick or outlet you have that works well.
