Hi everyone,
I’m currently experiencing a frustrating issue with the ChessUp2 chessboard regarding its Wi-Fi connectivity settings.
The Wi-Fi in my house is very unreliable, so I often use my mobile hotspot instead. I was able to add my hotspot as a Wi-Fi network on the ChessUp2, but I’ve encountered a major limitation: there is no option to forget or remove a previously connected Wi-Fi network, nor is there any way to manually switch between available networks.
What happens:
- The board automatically connects to my weak home Wi-Fi, and there is no way to disconnect or remove that network manually.
- I want to remove the home Wi-Fi and use my mobile hotspot instead, but I cannot manage or prioritize networks from the board itself.
- The only workaround I found was to unplug my home router, which forced the board to connect to the hotspot. Only then was I able to remove the home Wi-Fi from the saved list.
This is not a user-friendly solution and makes network management unnecessarily difficult.
Feature Request:
I believe it would be extremely helpful to add the following features:
- A “Forget Network” option, including the ability to remove the currently connected network. This would allow users to disconnect from unstable or unwanted networks without having to interfere with external equipment.
- A manual option to switch between available Wi-Fi networks, even when already connected to another one.
These are basic yet essential features for users who rely on mobile hotspots, travel, or move between different networks frequently.
Thanks for considering this feedback!
