What are you working on featurewise for chessUp 2? Thanks for all you do!

We are working on our improved bots and then also adding chessiverse app to the unit.

Then we will likely do puzzles and start work on various opening training tools.

Then a game review on the board tool.

I’m in Beta, so the ETA is for beta.

It has been next week for many many weeks :sweat_smile: (we are late)

So I am a bit hesitant to promise anything, but beta should be late May or so.

I’m just loving my Chessup 2 - A perfect 10..

I’m surprised how much I use the board without Wifi or Bluetooth. (Just turn it on and play a few quick games over lunch hour).

  1. I’m not sure if this feature already exisits but maybe have the ability to disable Bluetooth and Wifi inorder to save battery. As I mentioned there are times I don’t use either.

  2. I’m sure you have to be sensitive of storage space but I would like to have a choice of another chess engine (for the times I’m not connected to the web). I’m thinking something unique such as LCZero. (I beleive it’s open source). I;m not sure if the boards CPU would be powerful enough.

This is a great feature that can save battery life on it.

@ wireless shutoff - I will forward that to the firmware engineers. If we did this, we would design it to be for that power cycle only (non-persist). That way people don’t turn it on and forget and think the board is broken. Plus we at least need to scan for firmware updates at launch. OR - we would leave it off until you entire a mode that requires WiFi.

@ playing other engines. There is a way to do this - you can friend the engines on lichess and challenge them. It works with the ChessUp app at least.

How much storage does ChessUp 2 have?

Enough for 50~100 game records. When it has WiFi, it will save those to the cloud (if you set up a chessup account through our app).

Sorry - we do not disclose deep technical stuff about the product.

(*and I think you are looking for the flash memory size -but we keep those specifications internal).
