We are close to releasing lessons. There is some final cleanup (notice the debug code in the app). And we are also finalizing the iOS app implementation.
Expected release date is Feb 5th 2025.
This is a release for ChessUp 1 as well.

Implementation looks awesome, thank you so much! Can’t wait to try it next week. Do you have any schedule for translations?
Looks really nice and a great addition to the set.
This looks great!
Looks great! Looking forward
Looks great, thanks.
How many more are you going to release per week?
List looks great - love the addition of a complete game to review - would be nice to have a guess the move feature for those games.
This looks so cool and I feel that my board gets more value every week. My guess is that the speaker in the app is from Denmark
1~2 to start but if well received we will look at producing more
It’s probably worth having white’s king somewhere in play for these lessons, as having a position which can never be realised may be confusing for people trying to learn.
The idea is amazing though, looks great.
edit: Are there plans to integrate with chess.com’s learning features? I would absolutely love the ability for this
TBH I would love if the lessons would be available on the board itself as well. Offline, text only on the display. I can see why interactive lessons with voice are nice but having to use a smartphone and app wakens brings a lot of dependencies to the cloud, the service, the app and a supported smartphone.
Yeah. Just a bit of text so you can do it without a smartphone would be pretty cool.
Even then, there is no sound.
Hey Jeff,
great update to come.
Can we help with translating into other languages?
Is there any plan also for a voice translation? This may be a good use case for AI.
We tried an Ai voice translator and it was pretty close. It might miss some chess specific context - but we can release a few and seek feedback.
Yeah that would be great because especially for children it is better to have the lessons in the native language.
Wow. This is really awesome. I feel you guys are shaping this product to a level nobody can compete with.
I can’t avoid thinking that if in the future there are plans for more luxury version of the board, something like a tournament size wooden board with premium pieces. It will be the best electronic board in existence. I understand there will be challenges with the choice of materials and been able to keep the current features.
Just a thought.
Amazing work!
