8th row and black end cog button no longer work (fixed, instructions in post)

I haven’t used the Chessup in a while but having seen the new update I wanted to give it a try.

As the title says, one of the cog buttons doesn’t work and the 8th row doesn’t detect any pieces.

I’ve tried updating firmware, calibrating through the app and board, using the board with power and without while doing the previous steps and changing surface.

I’m wondering if anyone else has had similar problems and know how to fix them.

It is a bit colder at the moment, could that be the reason?

With help from the Chessup team I managed to fix the problem by reseating a cable. The only tool you need is a T8 Torx screw to unscrew the back panel. The whole thing took about 10 minutes.

This is likely in need of a cable re-seat.

I have the same issue, can chessup team send me the video as well? All the pieces cannot be detected and the blue setting button cannot be sensed at all. Thanks
