Games lost from board

I had 10 games played one day, didn’t download them. Played 3 more yesterday. When i opened chessup i had still the notification about the 10 games, nothing of the 3 new, so i clicked to import them, it did import those 10 from some weeks ago, but the 3 from yesterday no. I went through the app to where you tell it to manually load games from board, and it says there are none. Is the limit of games on it so low, or did it somehow erase them after it downloaded the others?

I find that the downloading games is sketchy at best. I am constantly told o have 13 games to import and it never lets me do it. Sometimes, I swear, it tells me I played a game when I did not.

We recognize there is improvement needed here and are scheduling some work for it.

We are also looking into a web site solution for game management - TBD when - but that is in the long term plans.

Hi Jeff, thank you for responding. Does the team know what the cause could be on my case? My assumption so far is that maybe it did have the games but because I clicked the old notification I had to download the 10 games, it maybe clears the games from the board after downloading them, so it cleared the other 3. Just asking so I know to avoid that if that could be the case

It does clear the games from the board after moving them to the app.

In the app, sometimes the games get named duplicates (i.e. you have two game #1s).

Often it is there, just really hard to find.

You can refresh that game history list in iOS by pulling down to refresh. I am not sure of the exact mechanism on Android - but similarly try to refresh the list.

Then you can check out each game and the detail of when it was uploaded is in the details. Hopefully they are there.

On Android there is no ‘refresh’. Just connect board with app, go to history tab and it automaticly syncs.
We have to wait for about 30 secs there to get the games. If you move away from the tab and go back to the history tab the autosync is off. We have to kill the app and restart the proces. The core thing is to wait in the history tab .

That’s not fully true, you can also swipe down and it refreshes the list. What I’d really like is a way to either rename the game to put some meaningful title like x vs y and/or to be able to change the names on each saved game
