I’ve found a temporary workaround that might help, although it’s far from ideal.
If you switch the board’s connection mode to chess.com, you can start a match from your mobile phone—for example, a 15|10 game—and the board will automatically sync with the phone. This way, you can still play the game entirely on the board without needing to look at your phone during the match.
However, there are some downsides:
- You won’t see the time on the board,
- You also can’t track the material balance (i.e., whether you’re ahead or behind in pieces).
You essentially play blind to the clock and material count, so it’s definitely not a satisfying solution—but at least it allows you to keep playing on the board itself.
