Is it possible to sync. a position that I have set-up on chess.com analysis board to my physical chessup2 board? And if this is possible can I also sync. the chess.com engine to make the chessup2 board light up instead of using the chessup2 's native engine?
@ sending the position over - you can use our board editor to set the position up
@ better analysis - that is coming in the next week or two. We will have a strong engine hooked up to the board editor to give hints and full options on playing against a strong Ai, etc.
I think most of what you are looking for is releasing this week and next.
Thanks Jeff.
It would be great if the chess.com integration were complete, meaning that whenever there was a position whether it’s a puzzle, a lesson, a daily game, etc., you could tap on the screen and have the position copied to the chessup board editor. They way the site could always be used with the board.
I get that you can manually set up any position that you like but having the squares light up to do so, particular on a busy board, could be very helpful. Then phase 2 with self-moving pieces would complete my dream.
I love this idea! Having the ability to connect to more lessons would lessen the burden on ChessUp’s Bryght Labs team from curating lessons manually. If we had a seamless synchronization with Chess.com lessons, puzzles, Lichess, or even Chessable, it would be a game changer. Integrating all three platforms would be ideal, but even one would be a significant improvement.
That said, ChessUp’s light system is heavily underutilized. Tactical vision and board vision training are either not being promoted effectively or have not been implemented in a structured manner. While having opening theory in the ChessUp app is great, the real priority should be integrating tactical lessons either by outsourcing to existing platforms or developing more in house content.
The focus should be on prioritizing features that genuinely need to be addressed rather than delaying or postponing essential improvements. Unless this is the direction Bryght Labs intentionally wants to take, which I highly doubt, they should ensure that these critical features are implemented now rather than holding them back for a ChessUp 3 release. They take a lot of pride in their product, and I just hope they deliver on these core functionalities without unnecessary delays.
