It is! It took me around 13 hours for the 14 pages IOS. Kept going back, check it again, change it again. :sweat_smile:

Google translate does help but also does some very strange translations. Some words took some time to find out what it should be in Dutch.

Indeed, the ā€œwonderfulā€ world of OCD! :grin:

I also noticed that we chose different wordings here and there. But thatā€™s just the ā€œdownsideā€ of using a translation effort in this way other than a professional market targeted translator.

When are the translations implemented? Bacause the Dutch version still has some weird words/phrases. The Play tab is (at least for me) still called ā€˜toneelstukā€™ instead of ā€˜spelā€™ something similar.

But either way, thank all of you who translated for all the effort :smiley:.

I didnā€™t translate anything to ā€œtoneelstukā€ not sure where that comes from. I also doubt that they already implemented the translations.

When I open the app now and since the beginning I got the same on Android like AnSinChan. Play is ā€˜toneelstukā€™ etc. Itā€™s a direct translation from English to Dutch.
AnSinChan thatā€™s why we made the translation effort. Hopefully it will be better or it will be my fault :rofl:.
The translations are not yet implemented! Thatā€™s for the (near) future I hope. I know they are working hard to get things right.

Yes not released yet. I will ask the programmers when they can implement the updates.

A question, I did a fair amount of translating but since now there is a second translator, ChessUp needs to decide how you would like to address your user? My translations use the more formal pronouns ā€œSie/Ihr/Ihre, etc.ā€, while my colleague uses more informal ā€œDu/Dein/Deine, etc.ā€ - maybe we should coordinate a more uniform translation. How did the French guys handle it? ā€œvousā€ or ā€œtuā€?

I translated both Android and iOS, so it was done in the same way. I used Ā« vous Ā».

Itā€™s a bit weird, since English doesnā€™t have those variables, but in other languages, thatā€™s fairly important :slight_smile:

Tough for us to answer - as I donā€™t speak anything other than English - but I would guess the more formal word is better for software?

For android Dutch translation I used the formal too.
